Welcome to this blog and dive in! Let's make this recipe.
Selecting Ingredients
Apple cider vinegar: It can not treat dandruff directly but instead will balance hair and scalp pH. A well-balanced scalp will not be too oily or too dry thus no dandruff will appear. That's why you've included it in our anti-dandruff shampoo recipe.

Liquid castile soap: This is the liquid soap base for our anti-dandruff shampoo recipe. The good thing about castile is that it cleanses the hair and scalp without stripping it with its natural oils. Dilute your castile soap in ratio of 1:1 because it has high alkalinity that may throw off your hair pH balance if used undiluted.

Distilled water: Distilled water is good at diluting castile soap. The reason distilled water is preferred than tap water is that it can contain impurities like chloride or fluoride from water sanitation management systems or lead and other minerals from pipes. Bacterial contamination is another concern that why it is always a good idea to dilute castile soap with distilled water.

Jojoba oil: Jojoba oil is the right choice when dealing with dandruff especially the one caused with dry scalp. Jojoba oil mimics the sebum, natural oils produced by the scalp. Avoid oils like olive oil with high oleic content coz they can worsen the issue. Jojoba oil is included in antidandruff shampoo recipe.

Carrot seed essential oil: This essential oil is good for stimulating hair growth and scalp cell renewal. It can balance skin pH and bring relief to dry scalp plus fight dandruff.
Eucalyptus essential oil: It has anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that can help prevent lice, dandruff and bring shine to your hair. Eucalyptus has quite a strong smell.

Tea tree essential oil: Tea tree is among best essential oils for hair. They are good for stimulating and clarifying hair and scalp. Tea tree oil is good at getting rid of greasy hair and dandruff. Another effective ingredient for making anti-dandruff castile shampoo.

Peppermint essential oil: This essential oil has a cooling sensation and it will be a good advice if you use it moderately. But it has numerous benefits such as being anti-fungal, anti-microbial and a stimulant for hair follicles for promoting hair growth and getting rid of dandruff as well.
