My Honest Review On Bio Oil: WhyYou Should Get It(Unsponsored)
Hello, my dear gorgeous! It's another week and I thought it will be a good idea to do my very, very, very honest review on Bio Oil and tell my story after using it for years and see results that I wanna share and reasons why you should get it. Disclaimer, this is unsponsored post, so stay tuned!

Over the years I have known Bio Oil and used it since I was a teenager. During my teen years I first experienced the signs of stretch marks due to increase in body weight and hormonal changes like any other teen would face during this period.
Blackheads and acne scars worsened my skin situations. I tried various home remedies like apple cider vinegar and lemon juice to reduce the skin hyperpigmentation. This remedies can work so far but can not reduce the hyperpigmentation completely.
In my search on finding the alternative that work, I got to use many, many products but I settled with Bio Oil after observing its benefits which I would like to share with you in this post which has been very helpful in my skincare journey.
How The Product Feels Like...
The Bio Oil has the following properties that I have observed that make it stand out.
Fast-absorbing: When you apply Bio Oil, it gets to be absorbed on the skin very fast. It does not leave a greasy feel on your skin
It's signature color is clear orange. I like this color coz it has calming effect.
It can be used with other skincare products without worrying about allergic reactions. Many products have come and go on my vanity table but Bio Oil has stood test of time.
Benefits I Have Seen After Using Bio Oil
After using Bio Oil for several years I have seen some positive results and I would like to share with you, right now! Now let's jump in!
First things first my scars, I got from scratches from hurting myself got lighter within 6 to 8 weeks after using Bio Oil.
Overall, my skin tone has become even in most parts of my body which has given me more confident to wear what I like without overthinking about my skin tone. This can be a concern especially when you have dark skin.
It has gotten rid of acne scars which I had when I was younger proving that it works!
It is moisturizing and nourishing for all skin types. If you have dry skin type make it your best friend.
It is non-comedogenic oil; it feels very light on the skin and does not clog pores.
It can be very helpful if you want to reduce appearance of stretch marks.
Should You Be Concerned When Using This Product?
Yes! When using any skincare product you should be concerned, right? Although I have used this skincare product for quite long time I think I should be able to tell you that it may not be a right choice for everyone and I'm gonna address some of my worries here below:
You're that 'clean' skincare girlie! I will be doing you a disservice if I don't tell the truth nothing but the truth. And the truth is this product is largely made from petro-chemicals or its by-products like mineral oil.
It contains a lot of perfuming agents such as coumarin, eugenol, linalool and many more. If you are concerned about artificial fragrances then you can avoid this product for your own good.
It can cause skin irritation to some people with highly sensitive skin. Though its formulation can be soothing for other skin types may be you should avoid it at all if you have sensitive skin type.
It contains colorant: As you can see Bio Oil distinct signature is its clear orange color
Last but not least, it only diminishes, pay attention to the word diminishes the appearance of scars and uneven skin tone. This means that for some scars especially old ones or which have their root as a skin trauma deeper than the epidermis won't be able to address that kind of concern. Instead, retinol, Vitamin C and other skin treatments and procedures such as deep chemical peels or lasers may suit your situation than just a mere topical that claim to do so!
Final Opinion
I like this product, It has been very helpful in my skincare journey. Consistent use from 3 to 6 months can yield desired outcomes. You can use it with other serums and moisturizers with potent skincare ingredients for optimal results. You can also use it as a bath oil.
If you do not like this product for one reason or another or due to a certain skin condition, I think using bakuchiol or sea buckthorn oil might be a better option for you. Hope you like this post. Can't wait to share more product reviews with you guys!
