This recipe is going to use flowers to create your bathing tea. A select of few dried flowers like calendula, chamomile, rose petals and jasmine petals. Let's join in and create something to die for, enjoy!

Selecting Ingredients

  • Lukewarm water: Tea is not tea without water. When you'll be done with making the tea blend, you'll infuse it the water. Make sure your water is not so hot or so cold. Just a right temperature for the blend to be infused to make floral bath tea.

  • Crushed and dried rose petals: This flower is not only beautiful when it blossoms but also when it dries. Dried rose petals can brighten your skin complexion. It can help to clear pores and tighten skin due to having anti-oxidants that can seep through pores.

  • Dried calendula flowers: These dried flowers contain tannins, polyphenols and anti-oxidants that can ease muscle spasms and inflammation. Adding them in your tea blend can make an awesome floral bath tea.

  • Epsom salts: This salt can help to reduce inflammation, muscle soreness and pain. If you do workouts, using epsom salts in bath treatments can help to soothe worn out muscles that's why you need it.

  • Dried chamomile flowers: Generally chamomile flowers contain anti-oxidants that are gentle and soothing for the skin. It can also help to treat bacne, promote bruise healing and reduce inflammation.

  • Dried jasmine flowers: Another option for your floral blend. The flowers reduce dryness, improve mood and boost skin moisture and help to even out skin's texture. Jasmine flowers can reduce oiliness, a good treat for your oily skin type for your floral bath tea.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup of Epsom salts

  • 4 tablespoons of crushed dried rose petals

  • 2 tablespoons of dried calendula flowers

  • 2 tablespoons of dried chamomile flowers

  • 4 tablespoons of dried jasmine flowers

It is always a good idea to get all your ingredients and tools to make it easier for you to make your recipe with minimum downtime especially if you are planning to use your floral bath tea on the same day.

Substitute Epsom salt for ½ cup of medium-grained pink salt for bath tea blend that you won't use it on the same day or pack it as a gift. You will add liquid ingredients like water or your favorite bath oil(optional) right before taking bath.

Instructions

  1. Collect your ingredients; ½ cup of Epsom salts, 4 tablespoons of dried rose petals, 2 tablespoons of dried calendula flowers, 2 tablespoons of dried chamomile flowers and 2 tablespoons of dried jasmine flowers.

  2. Put all your ingredients in a glass bowl and mix with a wooden spoon thoroughly.

  3. Pack your blend in a cotton muslin bags.

  4. Your bath tea 'bag' is ready for use.

How to Use Floral Bath Tea

  • Fill the bathtub with warm water.

  • Throw your cotton muslin bath 'tea' bag and let contents in the bag to be infused in the water.

  • At this point you can set up your relaxing music, dim lights and scented candles.

  • Sit and soak your body for 20 to 30 minutes.

  • Rinse your body in the shower after soaking.

After Use

  • Throw away your spent herbs after you're done with the bath.

  • Wash your cotton muslin bag with hot water and hang it to dry for another use.
