Selecting Ingredients
Moroccan Argan oil: One of the most popular hair oils nowadays is argan oil and not for wrong reasons. It has high content of antioxidants and essential fatty acids that can condition your hair and make it easier to detangle and control frizz.

Aloe Vera gel: Aloe vera gel has humectant properties. It is a good moisturizing agent that can help with hair detangling. Moisturized hair strands can make detangling process easier and prevent hair breakage. This is another ingredient for your detangling hair conditioner recipe.

Emulsifying wax NF: This ingredient is specifically used in this recipe in order to create an emulsion. It is impossible to mix oil and watery substances so emulsifying wax act as a binder to oil-based and water-based ingredients in order to create your detangling hair conditioner.

Stearic acid: These are white flakes derived from vegetable fats. You'll add these with oil-phase ingredients. Stearic acid helps to form a moisture barrier on the hair strands. Help to keep your hair hydrated which can reduce friction and hair breakage while detangling your hair.

Liquid lecithin: It is a brown colored liquid derived from soybeans. Helps to bind water-based ingredients with oil-phase ingredients just like stearic acid. Usually added to the oil-phase ingredients. Get a natural liquid lecithin for this detangling hair conditioner recipe.

Distilled water: This sterilized water used in our recipe. This recipe is 60 to 80 percent water. Avoid tap water or even bottled water, it is highly likely contains microbes, impurities and trace minerals that may affect its overall quality of your detangling hair conditioner and reduce its shelf-life.

Xanthan gum powder: It is an odorless gum powder coming from a certain type of bacteria. It acts as a thickening agent so that your conditioner don't get too runny. Alternatives to xanthan gum ate guar gum, agar agar, arabic gum, cellulose gum or carob bean gum.

Essential oil blend: Try this recipe of essential oil blend of tea tree essential oil, lavender essential oil and rosemary essential oil which all contain anti-oxidants that can moisturize hair and prevent chances of hair fall and breakage that can be very beneficial when making this detangling hair condituoner.

Vitamin E oil: Vitamin E oil can nourish your hair but in this scenario it is used as a preservative agent. This is the safe choice for natural DIY haircare recipe like detangling hair conditioner.
