DIY Face Powder Cleansers Formulations
This guide provide simple recipes that you can formulate at your own home. You can use most of the powders that you can find in your kitchen like flours, clays flowers powders and more according to your creativity and taste. Now let's begin our preparation.
Cleansing Face Powder Cleanser
Ingredients
¼ cup of kaolin clay
¼ cup of oatmeal powder
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of sodium cocoyl isethionate (SCI)
2 tablespoons of jojoba oil
Directions: Combine all the dry ingredients in the blender or food processor till are well-blended. Add more two tablespoons of jojoba oil and blend more till the mixture is well-combined and is not clamped up. Transfer your powder mixture to the designated bottle or glass Mason jar.
Use: Create a little paste by adding water to the powder. Apply the paste on your face, massaging with circular motions then wash your face with clean water.
Brightening Face Powder Cleanser
Ingredients
¼ cup of bentonite clay
¼ cup of lemon peel powder
1 teaspoon of rice flour
1 teaspoon of sodium cocoyl isethionate(SCI)
1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil
10 drops of lemon essential oil
Directions: First, measure out your dry ingredients and put them in a blender and blend for like 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer your mixture to a glass bottle then close tightly with a lid.
Use: Make a paste by adding a little water then applying the paste on your face and scrub it all over your face for like one minute. Wash off your face then pat dry with clean towel then follow your skincare routine as usual.
Face Powder Cleanser for Sensitive Skin
Ingredients
¼ cup of pink clay
¼ cup of rose petal powder
1 teaspoon of hibiscus powder
1 teaspoon of sodium cocoyl isethionate(SCI)
15 drops of rose essential oil
Directions: Again, mix all your dry ingredients in a food processor or blender for 5 minutes. Add your drops of essential oil then mix till the powder in not clamped up.
Use: Add water to your face powder cleanser and apply it on your face. Rinse it out, pat dry your face then continue apply your face toner and then serum.
Oil-Absorbing Face Powder Cleanser
Ingredients
¼ cup of kaolin clay
¼ cup of tapioca starch
1 teaspoon of pearly powder
1 teaspoon of sodium cocoyl isethionate(SCI)
Directions: Add your dry ingredients into the mixing bowl and mix with a wooden spoon till well combined. Transfer your powder mixture to a clean glass bottle and close with a tight lid.
Use: Make a small-sized paste by adding a little water then massage it on your face and leave it for like 3 minutes before you wash your face. Dry your face then continue with your skincare morning or night routine as usual.
Matcha Face Powder Cleanser
Ingredients
¼ cup of French green clay
¼ cup of green matcha powder
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of sodium cocoyl isethionate(SCI)
10 drops of lavender essential oil
Directions: Measure out your dry ingredients and add them in a blender. Mix well. Add your lavender essential oil then blend well again. Transfer your powder to a glass container and close with a tight lid.
Use: Mix the powder with water to form a paste then apply it to your face. Rub it to your skin to remove any dirt or makeup on your skin then wash off your face.
