Ingredients
¼ cup of green tea powder
2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel
2 tablespoons of vegetable glycerin
2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons of orange blossom water
Before you start to make your recipe, prepare all the ingredients and utensils such as mixing bowl, saucepan, stove top, measuring spoons and your designated jar for your face toner. Get your green tea powder that is high quality with lots of nutrients for the skin.
Selecting Ingredients
Green tea: This ingredient is usually in green powder form. It contains anti-oxidants compounds catechins known as EGCG(epigallocatechin-3-gallate). These anti-oxidants can help to make your skin more hydrated. This is the active ingredient in your face toner.
Aloe vera gel: This gel has anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe dry skin. Aloe vera gel is a humectant substance that can deeply moisturize your skin apart from cleansing purifying and unclogging pores.
Vegetable glycerin: It is very moisturizing ingredient. It prepare the skin to take in face serum. Both glycerin and aloe vera gel can calm and soothe dry skin and moisturize your skin creating a clear skin surface for taking in moisturizer, essence and serums.
Apple cider vinegar: This is natural alternative to alcohol that has become a favorite of store-bought face toner with less side effects. It can clear, purify and balance your skin pH. Green tea hydrates the skin but to keep the skin in balance then ACV comes to play.
Orange blossom water: This is gentle floral water can enhance the overall nature of your green tea face toner. Orange blossom water is filled with vitamin C that can boost the function of green tea anti-oxidants. After this face toner apply vitamin C serum to boost the optimum results.
Instructions
Begin making your recipe by adding your apple cider vinegar in a saucepan and place it over the stove top in a low to medium heat. Wait till it starts to simmer.
Remove your saucepan from heat. After that cover tightly your saucepan with lid and then wait for the mixture to cool to room temperature.
Transfer your apple cider vinegar to a mixing bowl.
Add vegetable glycerin and aloe vera gel then mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon till well combined.
Add your orange blossom water to the mixture.
Get another mixing bowl and add green tea powder. Pour your liquid mixture slowly into the powder and mix with a wooden spoon till the paste is smooth.
Transfer it to a well-sanitized jar and close tightly with a lid.
You can store your facial toner in a cool and dry place and use it within two months.
How to Use Your Green Tea Face Toner
After you're done with cleansing your face with face wash.
Dab your green tea face toner on your face and don't touch around the eye area.
Rub gently on your face for 1 minute the wash off with warm water.
Pat dry with small towel.
Apply your vitamin C serum on your face or moisturizer.
