Selecting Ingredients
Jojoba oil: When it come to choosing carrier oils in hair care you can't leave jojoba oil out of the list. Jojoba oil chemical composition mimics your sebum from oil glands on the scalp. It'll be good for hair mayonnaise.




Olive oil: Olive oil and jojoba oil can work well together to deep condition hair. Olive oil contains vitamin E oil and oleic acid that can help to repair hair strands.
Refined Shea butter: To make a good hair mayonnaise, used refined butter that has no aroma so that you won't have shea aroma in the end product. Using unrefined shea butter won't ruin your hair mayonnaise either.


Cocoa butter: Is not only used in skincare but also can be smoothening your hair. It can condition your hair and restore moisture, it can deep condition your hair.


Pumpkin seed oil: This oil has been proven in several studies to help with hair loss and hair fall, including it in your hair mayonnaise, pumpkin seed oil can be use for restoring and repairing damage and preventing hair breakage.
Rosemary essential oil: This is another ingredient that is backed up by research. It supports hair growth and prevent hair fall and hair breakage. Rosemary essential oil is more better than minoxidil and good alternative to minoxidil especially if you've not prescribed by the doctor.
Lavender essential oil: It contains a sweet aroma that can make your hair mayonnaise smell good. But also it can promote hair growth and restore moisture.
Nettle essential oil: Also called stinging nettle, not only can it make your hair stronger from the roots but also make it shiny and lustrous. So, its a great option to help retain hair length, good option for hair mayonnaise.


Ingredients
2 tablespoons of jojoba oil
2 tablespoons of olive oil
¼ cup of refined shea butter
2 tablespoon of cocoa butter
15 drops of pumpkin seed oil
10 drops of rosemary essential oil
5 drops of lavender essential oil
10 drops of nettle essential oil
Get your tools and supplies such as kitchen thermometer, measuring spoons, glass measuring cups, glass mixing bowl, saucepan, wooden spoon/mixing spoon and hand-held mixer. Get ready to make this haircare DIY recipe.


Instructions
Measure out the shea butter, cocoa butter, jojoba oil, and olive oil, put them in your glass measuring cup.
Next, submerge the measuring cup in a saucepan containing a few inches of simmering water. Using a double boiler is much better options.
Put your saucepan or double boiler and put it on low heat. Once your oil-wax mixture is melted remove it from the saucepan or double boiler. It should not exceed more than 160-180℉, use your kitchen thermometer to measure temperature accurately.
Pour the oil-wax mixture into glass mixing bowl and cool to room temperature then put it in refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Using a hand-held mixer, whisk the mixture for ten minutes and return it to the refrigerator and repeat these whisking and chilling process till all mixture is whipped and has even consistency.
At this stage you can add your essential oils, rosemary essential oil, nettle essential oil, lavender essential oil and pumpkin seed oil drop by drop and continue to mix till all essential oils are well-blend in.
At last you can take your mixture from the bowl and pour it into your designated moisturizer jar.
Store your hair mayonnaise in a refrigerator and use within six months.
How to Use Hair Mayonnaise
After shampooing, massage a generous amount of hair mayonnaise.
Apply from roots to ends and continue to massage.
Cover your head with shower cap and leave for 10 minutes.
Wash thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Avoid using chlorinated water for hair wash.
